AARP Did Not Authorize or Participate in Production of American Bridge 21st Century Ad Targeting President Trump

WASHINGTONAARP released the following statement today in response to American Bridge 21st Century’s citation of AARP and the use of the AARP logo in its recent television advertisement. Said AARP spokesperson Khelan Bhatia:

“AARP did not authorize or participate in the production of the advertisement targeting President Trump. AARP has a proud 34-year history of non-partisan voter engagement and does not endorse or oppose candidates, nor does AARP make contributions to political campaigns or candidates. We encourage all Americans to ask questions so they understand where the candidates stand on important issues and make their own decisions on Election Day.”
