AARP SVP, Multicultural Leadership Edna Kane Williams to be Honored by Black Enterprise at Women of Power Summit

WASHINGTON, DC—On Friday, March 10, AARP’s Senior Vice President of Multicultural Leadership Edna Kane Williams will be honored at Black Enterprise’s Most Powerful Women in the Business Recognition Ceremony for her outstanding achievements as a female executive dedicated to member services and multicultural outreach. The special ceremony will be held during the annual Women of Power Summit in Phoenix AZ.

“It is an honor to be recognized as one of Black Enterprise’s Most Powerful Women in Business and to be in the company of an elite group of female executives,” said SVP Edna Kane Williams. “These groups of women have truly redefined the standard of success for women of color.”

Williams was recently featured in the January/February issue of BLACK ENTERPRISE Most Powerful Women in the Business, which highlighted an exclusive list of high-ranking and influential African American female executives that are vital to the nation’s major corporations. The issue is currently on newsstands and BlackEnterprise.com.

“You could not find a better example of women of power than the female executives represented in this issue. Our editorial team developed this list to not only celebrate the black female business elite," said Black Enterprise President and CEO Earl "Butch" Graves Jr. “But to demonstrate that it requires unparalleled expertise and resilience to break through barriers that female executives continue to face today."
