Bollé Sport Protective Now Offers RX Photochromic Lenses
Move Signals Continued Evolution of Brand and its Products

Paris & Overland Park, Kan – Introduced in the latter part of 2014, The Bollé Sport Protective line was intended to give eye care professionals one of the industry’s most complete collections of high-quality, well-designed, eyewear for young athletes. Now, for the first time, all five models in the line are being offered with the option of Rx lenses with photochromic technology. 

To ensure Bollé Sport Protective eyewear with photochromic lenses can be comfortably used both indoors and out, the range of visible light transmitted varies from 89% to 12%. Extremely important for developing eyes, UVA and UVB protection is 100%.

The addition of photochromic lenses does not in any way compromise the safety capabilities of Bollé Sport Protective products. All models, regardless of lens type, continue to be certified to rigorous American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z87.1-2010, and American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) F803 standards.

All Bollé Sport Protective models comply with ANSI Z87.1-2010, which establishes performance criteria and testing requirements for devices used to protect the eyes and face from injuries from impact, non-ionizing radiation and chemical exposure in workplaces and schools, and ASTM F803, which sets the standards for eye protectors in a range of popular sports. Technologies used to help meet these exacting standards include:

PLATINUM COATING - Patented scratch resistant and anti-fog technology, used successfully in industrial and military environments.

SAS SHOCK ABSORPTION SYSTEM - A new industrial process that permits co-injection of two different materials at the same time: hard material for impact resistance and very soft material for impact absorption. This process does not use chemical bonding agents, greatly reducing the risk of allergic reactions

NEW POLYCARBONATE GRADE - All Sport Protective frames are constructed with a recently developed grade of polycarbonate, delivering flexibility for comfort combined with a very high level of impact resistance.

There are five models in the Bollé Sport Protective collection: Coverage, Crunch, Swag, Dominance and Baller. All models are available with plano and Rx, photochromic Rx lenses, with retail prices set at $120; $160 and $260, respectively.
