CHANHASSEN, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Life Time – The Healthy Way of Life Company (NYSE: LTM) today announced that the 2014 Life Time South Beach Triathlon will be held on April 6, 2014 in South Beach, Miami. Registration opens today. Once again this year, the Life Time South Beach Triathlon is expected to host nearly 3,000 triathletes and will kick off the 2014 Life Time Tri series.
The Life Time South Beach Triathlon is a multi-sport event that attracts athletes, corporate team fundraisers, relay teams and individual age group triathletes. The event offers both an international-distance course and a sprint-distance course including:
- Swim: Start with an ocean swim that runs parallel to world-famous South Beach.
- Bike: Athletes will enjoy a bike course that crosses over Miami Beach's famous Causeways with scenic views of the Intracoastal Waterway, downtown Miami and Miami Beach.
- Run: Lastly, participants will run alongside Miami Beach's Art Deco District, finishing on the white sands of South Beach.
The 2014 Life Time South Beach Triathlon also extends a six year tradition of supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other deadly diseases. Participants in the event are invited to tri for the kids of St. Jude and raise money to earn great perks such as free race entry, race weekend travel accommodations, St. Jude gear and much more.
