Life Time Athletic Events Has An Event For Everyone In August
August events in Minnesota include Athleta Esprit de She Duathlon and Cycle Tour, Life Time Tri Maple Grove and Gran Fondo

CHANHASSEN, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Life Time Athletic Events, the premier endurance event division of Life Time – The Healthy Way of Life CompanySM (NYSE:LTM), is gearing up for an exciting, yet busy, August in Minnesota for people at all levels of fitness.

Aug. 4: Athleta Esprit de She Duathlon
Fresh off the heels of its Minnesota debut, Athleta Esprit de She is back on Aug. 4 with a Duathlon. Women will run and ride through the countryside at the Athleta Esprit de She Lakeville Duathlon, beginning and ending across from King Park at Life Time Fitness Lakeville. Participants will run two miles, bike 11 miles and run two miles. Once you reach the finish, salute your success with a drink at the champagne bubbly bar and enjoy tasty tapas and tunes while browsing a bustling, community market. Participating ladies will receive an official Moxie Cycling commemorative jersey valued at $58, along with a well-deserved duathlon finisher medal.

Aug. 15: Athleta Esprit de She Cycle Tour
This event is for women who love to bike. Registered women will spin their wheels along the bluffs overlooking the beautiful Minnesota and Mississippi Rivers at the Athleta Esprit de She Mendota Cycle Tour. Ride on the road or try the trail route leading out from Axel's on Sibley Memorial Highway and experience an energizing Zumba dancing station to provide a little oomph before completing the last three miles back to Axel's. Similar to each Athleta Esprit de She event, participants will toast to their success at the champagne bubbly bar and enjoy tasty tapas and energetic tunes while browsing a bustling, community market showcasing fresh produce, local artisans, creative projects and more. Participating ladies will receive an official Moxie Cycling commemorative jersey valued at $58.

Aug. 24: Life Time Tri Maple Grove
The Maple Grove Triathlon: Dare to TRI welcomes amateur, elite and avid triathletes, and those considering joining the fastest growing sport in the country. The event will start and finish in Weaver Lake Park featuring views of Maple Grove’s charming landscape and the countryside of Plymouth and Corcoran. Triathletes can choose from two distances including a sprint distance as well as an international distance, both of which are open to individuals and relay teams.

Aug. 25: Gran Fondo
Open to beginner cyclists, families and competitive cyclists alike, Gran Fondo (or “Big Ride”) events have become increasingly popular in Europe and beyond for their long-distance, mass-participation ride - versus race - format. New this year, the unique ride offers a 60-mile course, 30-mile course and 15-mile course, all of which cover a beautiful ride on the country roads through Mound, Orono, Watertown and Delano. The day ends with a signature post-race Fondo Festival BBQ and awards ceremony. Life Time Gran Fondo also partnered with the Minnesota High School Cyling League to help support and promote personal development and teamwork through mountain bike racing, and encourages the formation of teams at public and private high schools.
