Life Time Supports Vegetarian And Vegan-Friendly Nutrition With Launch Of Vegamax Protein Powder
Protein powder combines optimal plant proteins, peas and rice isolate, to provide a complete plant-based amino acid profile

CHANHASSEN, Minn. (April 14, 2011) – Protein is an essential component to health and weight management, and a key benefit of protein in a weight-loss strategy is increased satiety compared to carbohydrates or fats, which can reduce overall calorie consumption1. However, in choosing to avoid consuming animal products, vegans and vegetarians may struggle to achieve adequate protein levels in their diets, failing to gain optimal nutrition necessary to properly fuel them.

In response to this challenge, Life Time Fitness, Inc. (NYSE: LTM), the Healthy Way of Life Company, has launched VegaMax (Vee-guh-max) Vegan Protein Powder, a great-tasting, complete soy-free, dairy-free and gluten-free protein solution.

It is sweetened with stevia, avoiding the use of artificial sweeteners, or flavors and colors.

“Vegans and those with other dietary considerations can struggle with adequate protein intake,” said Life Time Fitness Director of Nutrition and Weight Management Tom Nikkola. “VegaMax Vegan Protein Powder is a great tasting alternative to soy, dairy, gluten and animal protein sources.
