BNY Mellon Names Penny Weeks as Regional Director for Private Banking in New England

With Weeks' Deep Professional Experience, Firm Will Develop Private Banking Business

NEW YORK and BOSTON, November 28, 2011 — BNY Mellon's wealth management business has appointed Penny Weeks to be regional director for private banking for New England, in the firm's private banking group. Based in Boston, Weeks reports to Erin Gorman, managing director of the firm's rapidly growing mortgage business nationally, and leads the private banking business in New England.

Weeks has more than 25 years of private banking experience serving high net worth individuals and families with their financial, estate and investment planning needs. Prior to joining BNY Mellon she was a senior vice president and private banking team leader at Northern Trust and served for three years as senior private banker at U.S. Trust.

"Penny brings real depth to her role as regional director and a fresh perspective in serving our clients," Gorman said. "We think her experience and energy will also help drive growth of our private banking business in the region." Boston is among the ten largest wealth markets in the U.S. and is headquarters for the Wealth Management business.

Weeks, a certified financial planner, holds a diploma in Financial Planning from Boston University and earned a certificate in management and administration from Harvard. She attended Hobart & William Smith Colleges where she earned her B.A.

Among her many community activities, Weeks is on the advisory board of the Nonprofit Finance Fund, recently joined The Boston Club, and is a member of Womenade, a Boston-based women's philanthropic group.
