BNY Mellon Corporate Trust Appointed Fiscal Agent and Principal Paying Agent on new GMTN Programme guaranteed by International Petroleum Investment Company P.J.S.C.

LONDON, December 8, 2010 — BNY Mellon, the global leader in asset management and securities servicing, has been appointed fiscal agent, principal paying agent, exchange agent, transfer agent, registrar and calculation agent on a new global medium term note programme established by IPIC GMTN Limited (an exempt company incorporated with limited liability under the law of the Cayman Islands).

Issuances under the programme are unconditionally and irrevocably guaranteed by International Petroleum Investment Company P.J.S.C. The inaugural issuance was for $1,000,000,000 3.125% notes due 2015 and $1,500,000,000 5.00% notes due 2020.

As fiscal and paying agent, BNY Mellon will make interest and principal payments to investors on behalf of IPIC GMTN Limited and handle other administrative duties related to the issuance of the notes.
