NEW YORK, December 22, 2008 — The Bank of New York Mellon, the global leader in asset management and securities servicing, is serving as depositary bank for Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc.'s (MUFG's) global offering of depositary receipts (DRs). Each MUFG DR represents one ordinary share. The DRs trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "MTU" and the ordinary shares trade on the Tokyo Stock Exchange under the code "8306."
